Nexa was founded in 2017 by Eliot Hibbert and John Roberts with full approval from the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) as a regulated law firm.
In January 2020, Nexa Law expanded its reach by acquiring Peregrine, a well-established law firm. This acquisition broadened Nexa's service offerings and marked its strategic entry into the London legal market, boosting its national presence.
Following the Peregrine acquisition, Nexa Law opened its London office in 2020. This expansion into the UK's commercial and legal hub enhanced Nexa's accessibility to clients and underscored its commitment to growth.

You retain a best in class fee share of everything you bill and collect. The exact percentage depends on your seniority and practice area.
For context: if you bill £200k annually at a 90% collection rate (£180k collected), you’d take home £135k-£153k. Payments are made within 7 days of client payment clearing.
There are no hidden deductions, clawbacks, or complex profit-sharing calculations. What you see is what you get.
Yes. Nexa Law Limited is fully regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA No. 1234567). We maintain Professional Indemnity Insurance covering up to £10 million per claim, which protects both you and your clients.
We’re also an official LEAP partner, and our compliance team conducts regular audits to ensure we meet all regulatory obligations. You can verify our SRA registration at sra.org.uk/register.
You maintain full ownership of your client relationships and have complete autonomy over how you present yourself. You can operate under your own brand name (e.g., “Smith Legal Services”) or use the Nexa brand – the choice is yours.
Your brand appears on all client-facing materials, and you control client selection, case strategy, and pricing. If you ever leave Nexa, your clients remain yours.

There are no desk fees, no software subscriptions, no monthly minimums, and no clawback provisions. The only deduction is Nexa’s 15-25% commission on collected fees.
We typically work with solicitors who have 8+ years PQE and a proven track record in their practice area. That said, we evaluate each application individually.
If you have strong client relationships, a viable business plan, and the capability to generate £80k+ in annual billings, we’d encourage you to apply regardless of PQE. We’ve successfully onboarded everyone from 8-year PQE specialists to 20+ year partners.
