These are John McLean's areas of expertise:

Background

John trained at international law firm Eversheds in Birmingham for two years from 2005. Qualifying in 2007, he spent a further 9 years with Eversheds, as Solicitor, Associate and Senior Associate in their corporate occupiers department to 2016. He gathered a huge amount of valuable commercial experience, counting some very large corporates amongst his clients – for example a high street bank, a national storage company and a water and sewerage undertaker.

In 2016 John moved to regional heavyweight Thursfields, where he spent 5 years as a Senior Associate in the Birmingham and Kidderminster offices. He acted for a wealth of local businesses in the Midlands region – occupiers, landlords, landowners and developers. He also carried out more specialised work for clients further afield, including a Local Authority based in Hertfordshire.

John joined Nexa Law as a Partner in 2021 and continues to provide pragmatic, commercially focused and technically effective advice to clients both locally and nationally.
