Matthew qualified as a Solicitor in 2008 and specialises in dispute resolution, with a particular focus on professional negligence and professional regulation. He has previously worked at a Top 100 regional law firm in the South West before founding his own marketing business in the highly regulated animal health sector.
Matthew has acted on behalf of claimants in professional negligence claims worth many millions of pounds in aggregate. Resolving disputes through negotiation, mediation and in the court room, Matthew knows precisely how professional defendants and their insurers think when faced with a claim. Matthew also has extensive experience of professional regulation in the legal sector having acted for the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority addressing the challenges which arise from the disorderly closure of a legal practice whether through insolvency, dishonesty or abandonment. In addition Matthew acted for the Legal Complaints Service (now the Legal Ombudsman) resolving complaints against Solicitors as a neutral conciliator.
