Nexa welcomes its new interns from Queen Mary University of London
We’re extremely proud of our partnership with Queen Mary University of London which, since 2019, has seen us welcome a group of student interns to work at Nexa each year.
Global talent
Our paid programme for postgraduate students at the University’s Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS) allows us to tap into a truly global talent pool.
The CCLS is one of the leading Postgraduate Law Schools in London with more than 700 students from over 80 countries, studying more than 170 different courses.
This year saw us receive over 70 high quality applications and, after a competitive interview process, we were delighted to invite four new interns to join us.
Our interns will work with us around their studies during the academic year and will be available to assist our consultant lawyers with their client work on an on-demand basis. They will also get to work and spend time with our management and support teams helping drive Nexa’s growth and getting immersed in training, social events and other ESG initiatives.
Widening the pool
At Nexa, we are determined to attract younger talent as well as more experienced lawyers. We think that giving the next generation opportunities to experience and learn in all areas of the legal sector is vital to keeping our industry flourishing. We want a broad spectrum of different types of lawyers in our organisation and we believe our paid internship programme is one good way to “widen the pool”.
Welcoming the next generation
Earlier this month we welcomed this year’s interns – Erica Azevedo Lima, Jessica Dhodakia, Jamie Tipp and Chao Zhou to Nexa. We really hope they will enjoy their time with us, learn a lot and go away with even more enthusiasm for their chosen career. We are confident that we have found some fantastic individuals who will enhance our community here at Nexa and we are very much looking forward to working with them.
