Amy specialises in intellectual property law and has over 12 years’ experience working in international IP teams, having trained and qualified at Bird & Bird LLP. She spent the past 5 years at Simmons & Simmons LLP.
Amy specialises in contentious and non-contentious IP, with an emphasis on patent litigation. Her degree in Physiological Sciences from Oxford University gives her a strong background in the life sciences. She also has considerable experience advising technology and telecommunications clients.
Amy’s experience of the lifecycle of a litigation action enables her to advise clients on the protection and exploitation of their IP rights generally, including providing validity and infringement options and negotiating commercial agreements relating to IP. She also advises on strategy for enforcement in the specialist IP courts across the full range of IP rights.
