Listening and learning at Nexa: internal survey sheds light on consultants’ priorities
We might be one of the fastest growing legal services providers in the UK, but we are never complacent. We can always get better at the things we do for our lawyers. That’s why we listen to our consultants here at Nexa to make sure we are getting things right for them. Our consultants’ feedback is invaluable in helping us to assess whether we need to make changes anywhere or improve anything.
We know our offering to our consultants is market leading and we want it to stay that way, so we actively encourage feed-back – both positive and negative. Our recent internal survey of a group of Nexa consultants provided plenty of food for thought.
In our survey we asked everyone to respond to 15 factors which we believe are potential reasons as to why they joined and stay with Nexa. We asked our respondents to state whether they strongly agreed, agreed, neither agreed or disagreed, disagreed or strongly disagreed with each suggestion as a determining factor for them in joining and staying with Nexa. Additional comments were also encouraged.
Here’s some things we found out….
- 100% of respondents either strongly agreed or agreed that the quality of Nexa’s IT, administration, accounts and operational support was a significant factor in joining and staying with Nexa. One respondent commented that “…having great support is a real strong point”.
- 100% of respondents either strongly agreed or agreed that confidence in Nexa’s management team was a deciding factor for them. Respondents commented that the management team were “very personable” and “very supportive and forward thinking”.
- 95% of respondents either strongly agreed or agreed that being paid quickly after their client pays Nexa was important. A respondent said that “This is a huge plus point with Nexa and is preferred to monthly reconciliation and payment.”
- 85% of respondents strongly agreed or agreed that the quality of other Nexa lawyers was an attraction because “you want to trust who you refer your clients to”.
- 75% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed that culture, community and wider ESG was an important factor for them. One said, “Culture is everything”. Another commented, “…it’s good to feel the support of the Nexa family.”
- 70% strongly agreed or agreed, with only 6% disagreeing, that confidence in the Nexa brand in the legal market was important. While some respondents were confident in their own following so did not give so much weight to this factor, other respondents commented that “Nexa’s brand and position gives clients confidence”. Others said that Nexa was “sufficiently reassuring to clients” and “looks solid and professional.”
- Over 70% of respondents strongly agreed that fee splits and other income earning opportunities at Nexa such as referrals were an important factor for them.
We’re incredibly grateful to our consultants for sharing their views and we will continue to listen and make changes to ensure that Nexa remains the first choice for high quality lawyers looking to work differently.
