Commercials add up for Consultants at Nexa
Lawyers considering becoming self-employed consultants at any law firm will want to do their commercial due diligence first, to understand what’s on offer and be confident it’s right for them.
Moving your career in a different direction is a big step and in uncertain times, financial security really matters. While money isn’t everything to everyone, it’s clearly important to meet your commitments and your income expectations.

No surprises
At Nexa we are committed to transparency. There’s no small print, our consultants know exactly what they are getting when they join and fully understand the opportunities they can benefit from with us.
So, what do we offer?
- Best fee shares in the regulated consultancy market: our consultants keep a minimum of 75% of the fees they generate. We work on a sliding scale so that the more you bill the more you get to keep. While we deduct a fee for all the support services we provide, our lawyers can earn up to 85% of their fees. See our blog: fair share? Nexa’s transparent fee structure works for its consultants for more details.
- Quick payment: once your client pays, we pay – and we pay you quicker than anyone else in the market.
- Generous payments for referral work: if you work on a matter referred to you but generated by another Nexa consultant or Nexa itself (including our law firm support brand, NexaConnex) then you can expect to take home between 50% and 60% of the client fee.
- Market leading insurance and no excess payments: we don’t ask consultants to indemnify us against excesses under our insurance cover.
- No set-up fees: all that is required to get started with us is a laptop, smartphone and an internet connection.
- Freedom to do other things: we work on a non-exclusive basis, so you can do whatever else you want to.
